Sherry Mfg. Co. Inc., (DBA Sherry Resortwear), is one of the nation’s leading screen printers of souvenir apparel. The company is located in Miami, Florida approximately 30 blocks north of the Miami International Airport. Sherry Mfg. is licensed by Warner Brothers (Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo), Nickelodeon (Sponge Bob, Blues Clues, Fairly Odd Parents, Dora the Explorer) ,Sesame Street and Betty Boop. Our Showroom, warehouse and printing facilities are all inclusive in our state-of-the-art plant. Over 300 people employed by Sherry.

Established in 1948 by Quentin Sandler who has three children, Sherry, Gary and Gail (the company was named after the first child born), Sherry was started with 400 square feet of space and was primarily importing souvenir scarves. In the early 1950’s, Sherry started manufacturing cotton terry sportswear, which was screen printed at its factory. Beach towels, t-shirts, sweat shirts and a complete line of ladies sportswear were later added. All printing was done by hand until the late 1950’s when Sherry was the first company to convert to automatic silk screen printing equipment. The company moved to its fifth and current location in 1958 after a fire completely destroyed the facility and put the company out of business for almost 10 months.

Sherry Mfg. occupies a modern 275,000 square foot facility. The company has 20 automatic silkscreen printing machines as well as 12 twelve-head computerized embroidery machines all under one roof. Through a network of worldwide sales representatives, Sherry Mfg. Co. distributes its product nationwide to resorts, theme parks and airport retailers. The company markets product under the brands of Sherry Resortwear, Visions and Kidztime.

From a marketing standpoint the company has two different sales forces focused on separate channels of distribution. Within our resort channel we have over forty sales people worldwide selling our products to Hotels, Theme Parks, Cruise Lines, Beach Shops, Ski Resorts, Resort locations such as Las Vegas, Alaska, Orlando and Cape Cod. Our Chain and Department Store Division is focused on major retailers selling separate product from the Resort Division under a separate label called RetroVision Apparel.

Over the years, Sherry has expanded its representation to all fifty states as well as the Caribbean Islands. About 5% of its merchandise is exported to Europe and Asia. Sherry primarily uses domestic merchandise, however, a portion of its products are imported. Sherry has been importing merchandise since its beginning and has well-established suppliers overseas.

The business has always been and still is family owned. Scott Coltune (President and CEO) is extremely proud to be the third generation managing the company.
