1,200 folks showed up for the 24-Hour-Paintathon although as of Friday night we had 730 RSVPs. Crazy good. Thank you to everyone who helped make the experience extremely worthwhile. Here are a couple of news segments showing what is was like on Saturday at about 2P (ABC7) and Sunday at about 7:30A (CBS - KCAL) when only the most diehard were there. A group from Pomona and San Bernadino came in at 1A, but at the end it was Hannah (15-years old) who went non-stop from Saturday day through Sunday morning and Jeanne (15+) who spent all 24-hours+ at the session who were coherent enough to conduct interviews. Way to go -- along with about a dozen others who spent at least 18 hours there. Mother-daughter team Marie and Sky who came from Calabasas Saturday at 11A lasted until 7:15A, Sunday. This was Sky's 2nd POH 24-Hour-Paint-a-thon. She and Marie have volunteered several times with POH and Marie first engaged with POH in NY for the Garden in Transit taxi project.
