Safety is our number one priority here at Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning and it’s important to us to make sure all of our customers are comfortable AND safe throughout the seasons. Here is a great story from our own Lisa Preston at A-Plus Service Experts showing the team going above and beyond for our customer’s safety. “Last week one of our very loyal customers who is elderly, single, and retired called in and wanted to make an appointment to have two smoke detectors installed in her home. She had seen on the news how important it was for homeowners to check their smoke detector batteries and make sure their detectors were in working order, but she realized she did not have any smoke detectors in her home. She called to see if we provided this service, but I let her know that we do not install or maintain smoke detectors. Not wanting to leave her in a possibly dangerous situation, I told her that I would call around and find some prices for her and follow-up. After calling several companies, I realized that most places were very expensive and would charge several hundred dollars to install to inexpensive smoke detectors. Knowing the importance of smoke detectors and that they could possibly save a life, we even called the local fire department but they informed us that they would put her name on a list in case someone donated smoke detectors to the fire house, but this could take up to a year. Finally our team decided that we would purchase the smoke detectors and have our customer’s favorite technician install them for her while he was out performing her preventative maintenance. She was very grateful and feels much safer now that she has working smoke detectors in her home.”

We love when our centers get involved in the community! Yvette Salkey, our Customer Service Supervisor at Francis Home Environment Service Experts, was excited to tell us about how Francis Home Environment helped a local school raise money for the Ottawa homeless. "Longfields-Davidson Heights Secondary High School had a Hunger Sleepover in February to help raise money for the homeless in Ottawa. To help them raise money, our center had Denim Friday and anyone who wanted to participate made a donation to this great cause. We also had an employee donate prizes to be raffled off in a drawing and all the proceeds went to the high school to donate to the Ottawa Homeless."
