New improved ride starting from shop on Wednesday nights. There has been a big void in group rides that will actually average between 15 to 17 mph once completed. Please see this great opportunity from Schlegel Bicycles on Wednesday nights. This is intended to be a group ride with no surging. Please share with others who you think would be interested.
The OKC WNR (Wednesday Night Ride) leaves Schlegel's bike shop at 6pm. The target is 15 to 17 mph total ride average. The route traverses down to the South Side River Trail via Robinson then to the River West Trail and rally at NE 10 at Lake Overholser and then ride back. We avoid surges in order to help riders work together as a group in a paceline, KEEPING THE GROUP TOGETHER as much as possible. The goal of this ride is to develop the skills of the intermediate rider. It is 30 miles and usually gets back around 8pm. After the ride join us for drinks at the Peleton or S&B's Burger Joint located just behind Schlegel's.

Edmond Family Bike Ride is coming on May 6th! Bring the family for this Fun Ride at Mitch Park. The Edmond Bike Committee is also still looking for a few volunteers to help us make this a successful event. They need “helpers” to be stationed along the route, “helpers” to ride at the end of the rides (sweep) making sure everyone makes it back, and “helpers” for registration and the breakfast area. Marc Weinmeister has generously donated “helper” t-shirts for the first 25 volunteers. Just let me know what area you would like to be a “helper” in. I’m hoping everyone will bring their bike and ride in the 4th annual Edmond Family Bike Ride which isn’t just for children and families but for EVERYONE.
