Just refinished a garage floor for a client. Started with a complete grind with diamond abrasive then fill cracks with super adhesive patch. The perimeter seams and expansion joints were filled with Sika polyurethane. Next step was to apply a thick penetrating clear epoxy to seal against water migration in the slab. Colored high build epoxy followed with colored chips distributed. After drying we removed loose chips and applied a UV stable Polyaspartic urethane topcoat of high gloss. A super cool, high gloss look that is very cleanable and yet non-skid because of the profile provided by the multi-color chips...the best of both worlds. The high stem wall will be painted to match the walls and the owner now has a garage worthy of their Tesla! Material cost alone for a 3 car garage was over $1900 ...but that is using the very best of can buy an epoxy floor from Home Depot for about $400 you think there is a difference in the result....heck yes! This is a floor that will look good 10 years from now! What fun to do quality work....and owner is tickled pink!
