The art of tree removal. A dying Maple we took down last week in south Stillwater.

The crew set up this morning on removal of a huge, dying Post Oak behind a customer's house near Lake McMurtry. We are also trimming to remove limbs interfering with the internet satellite reception. Beautiful day to work in the woods. Hoping the ticks and Copperheads aren't out.

Allyson, our office manager, feeding Sydney, our office mascot, a ripe banana. Sydney is a Blue-tongued Skink I've had for 20 years! Yeah, I got her in '97!

So happy this is happening in one of my rock gardens! A gorgeous Pitaya Cactus, from near Alpine, TX. And it survived the 0 degree temps unblemished! Wish I had a nursery supplier for these. Maybe it's time to find some seed and propagate them in the greenhouse ourselves!
