Earlier this week we had one of the new Sig P320 X5 handguns here at the shop to make a custom competition holster for it. Now you can order one of these awesome double layer kydex holsters for yourself. Please contact us prior to ordering to ensure we have a copy of your gun to fit the holster to. http://www.defensivetrainingsolutions.com/shop/3-gun-gear-and-competition-accessories/layered-competition-holster
This holster was designed for durability, and ease of use. We layer and form 2 sheets of kydex around the handgun of your choice. We have designed our own drop offset hanger bracket using heavy duty aluminum and kydex to reduce flex, and make sure

Reholstering is not and should not be a horse race. It should be a deliberate action done safely!
Again, the reason for what we do, and why we do it that way, is always clearly explained in our courses and in our range safety briefings. When holstering your gun, the trigger finger should be on the frame of the gun well up outside of the trigger guard, you should clear your cover garment out of the way of your holster and then reluctantly and safely holster the gun, if you can do all of this without looking fine, but to race back to the holster after a drill is just plain ridiculous. I always make a conscience effort to be the last one back in the holster when I am a student in a course that way I know for sure that I am reluctantly holstering my gun. Stay Safe & Train Hard!
Negligently or accidentally shooting yourself is something my friend Claude Werner, The Tactical Professor, would call a negative outcome. Shooting yourself while re-holstering is one of those thin…

There is no better place for practice.
Over the past few months we have spoken with many of you about competitive shooting. We have started adding dates for competitive shooters to come out to the range, and run some drills, and run some stages. The idea of these events is to practice drills that will make us better shooters, and better competitors. Some weeks we will set up a large stage, and run it 3-4 different ways to help determine what stage plan will work better for us. For those of you who would like to get started in 3Gun or USPSA we suggest coming out and participating in these low stress drills practice sessions to learn more about the process, and the gear.
