It can happen anytime - anywhere! Our Certified Technicians can sweep and inspect your flue to make sure this doesn't happen to you. Call us Monday-Friday 10am - 5pm for an appointment to have your woodburning system Swept and Scanned!
On Tuesday morning, firefighters responded to this chimney fire on Mason Avenue in Deale. Firefighters found fire coming from the siding around the fireplace on their arrival. Aggressive work by county firefighters assisted by firefighters from Calvert County and the Naval Academy limited the fire damage to the exterior of the house with minor water damage to the interior. This fire was started from a hole burned through the flue pipe from the insert of the chimney. We encourage everyone with a fireplace or wood burning stove to have the chimney cleaned and inspected every year. Take advantage of the predicted warm weekend weather to have this work completed.
