It's National Hot Toddy Day! Here's how to beat the cold and warm up with a delicious hot toddy! - ½ cup of organic cloudy apple juice - 1 cup of water - 2 cinnamon sticks - 6 cloves - 1 TSP of grated ginger - A squeeze of lemon or lime - Pinch ground turmeric (*optional) - A pinch of cayenne pepper (*optional) 1. Put the liquids into a pan, cover with a lid and bring to a simmer over a medium heat. 2. Add the grated ginger, cloves and cinnamon and simmer with the lid on for another 5 minutes. 3. Remove from the heat and let it infuse, with the lid on, for 5 minutes. 4. Strain into a cup or mug and add a squeeze of lemon to add vitamin C. 5. Add a pinch of turmeric and cayenne pepper if you like it quite spicy. 6. Enjoy! Share a picture of or a recipe for your favorite hot toddys below!
