There is nothing quite like putting your hard work and determination to the test. Eliza Tadley (IG's etadzz) and Nick Pellegrino (IG's betterbeta) did just that and came out victorious at the Struggle Bus Climbing Competition at EVO Rock + Fitness Portland ME on Saturday. To win this bouldering comp, in the men's and women's division, these rad climbers had to finish within the top 3 in the advanced category. In the second round, the routes were changed and the top 3 competed once again and were given 5 minutes to complete a route. Talk about endurance! Eastern Mountain Sports was there to climb and cheer them on! For the win, these rad climbers will be fully outfitted for winter hiking by Eastern Mountain Sports. This includes top and bottom EMS Techwick base layers, a feather pack, soft shell pants and a Neoshell Helix Jacket! Stay warm and climb on!"

Close to the High Peaks but not quite tall enough, Pitchoff Mountain is a popular "starter" spot for climbers and hikers. A 5.2-mile trail takes you up to its 3,323-foot high summit, while its single-pitch route offers WI3-4 challenges for trad, top-rope, and ice climbers. | 📷 by IG's ibangiepangie #goEast
