Martin L. Davey, Sr., was a successful politician in addition to serving as president of Davey Tree. Martin served as mayor of Kent, Ohio, worked several terms in Congress representing Ohio and served as governor of Ohio for two terms.

Riding her bicycle 100 miles along the Pacific Ocean was not originally part of Anne Fenkner’s, project developer, Davey Resource Group, plan while in San Diego for the Western Chapter International Society of Arboriculture Conference. But, a colleague convinced her to bring her bike and participate in the Britton Fund Ride as part of “Team Davey.” Fenkner raised $1,575 for the fund and was one of the top fundraising individuals. “It was a wonderful opportunity to see this beautiful country of ours, raise funds for urban forestry and meet and re-meet friends,” Fenkner said.

Here at Davey we love celebrating career milestones. Jim Stief, executive vice president and general manager, U.S. R/C services, presented Jim Houston, vice president and general manager, Eastern U.S. R/C operations, with his 25-year service award. Congrats Jim and thank you for your years of service!
