Atlantic Guns Rockville shared 7th Infantry Division's post.
Task Force Bayonet regrets to inform you that retired Lt. Gen. Harold "Hal" Moore, and former 7th Infantry Division Commander, passed away on February 10, 2017 at his home in Auburn, Alabama. Moore commanded the 7th Infantry Division in Korea from May 1970 to March 1971. Moore was portrayed by actor Mel Gibson in the 2002 film, "We Were Soldiers," that dramatized the actions of Moore's battalion during the Battle of la Drang, where he served as commander of 1st Battaion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, during the Vietnam War. Our thoughts and prayers go out to LTG Moore's family. He will be truly missed. #TrustInMe #TaskForceBayonet
