Capital City Aviation is a non-profit flight club for training new students and renting to licensed pilots located at The Ohio State University Airport.

We offer Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, and recurrent training through a personalized flight instructor-student relationship. Our aircraft are available whenever it fits your schedule. Message us with any questions! Or call (614) 459-2541 to set up an appointment!

Our flight training goal is to provide high quality ground and flight instruction by our well trained and experienced Certified Flight Instructors (“CFI”).

Capital City Aviation is an Authorized Cirrus Training Center. Currently we have three (3) Cirrus SR-20 aircraft at $230 an hour, and two (2) 2015 Cirrus SR-22 for $309 an hour. Cirrus has laid out a training syllabus for aircraft transition that they have called The Cirrus Approach. We follow the Cirrus Approach for all of our pilot transitions, training, and ratings in the Cirrus aircraft. The reason we do this is to make an expert out of our club members in Cirrus aircraft, the Garmin Perspective G1000 avionics they use, and the proper way to use the Cirrus Aircraft Parachute System, or CAPS.

We have three (3) Cessna 172N Skyhawks, and a Piper Pa-28-161 Warrior. These are $124 an hour and are typically used for primary training. We also have a Beechcraft Bonanza which is $202 an hour. The Bonanza is a complex, high performance aircraft and is often used for commercial training and trips.

All of the aforementioned aircraft are IFR certified. Our instructors are $45 an hour, or $65 if you choose to follow the Cirrus Approach.
