Dr. Suzanne A. Beck, medical director of the Allergy and Asthma Clinic of West Texas, has served patients for over two decades. Board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, Dr. Beck excels in the treatment of allergic, asthmatic and immunologic conditions.
Recognized as a national leader in her field, Dr. Beck also commits community service hours for asthma screenings and camps, educational speaking, charitable clinics and advisory boards. As an associate clinical professor in the department of pediatrics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, she enjoys sharing the art of medicine with students and residents.
Dr. James J. Herman received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch. He trained in Allergy and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Herman also supervised the Pediatric Allergy training program at the Children’s Memorial Hospital at Northwestern University Medical School before returning to Texas to practice. Dr. Herman is an Associate Clinical Professor of Allergy and Immunology in the Pediatrics & Internal Medicine departments at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Herman also received his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas. He serves as Chairman of the Anaphylaxis, Food & Insect Allergy Committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology Advisory Director of the Asthma Camp Zone, and Director of the National Consortium of Children’s Asthma Camps.
Dr. Herman is also the recipient of Bridges to Excellence Recognition-Level III for excellence in Asthma Care. He is an avid golfer.
Heather K. Morris is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been a nurse for over 15 years and became a nurse practitioner after graduating from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing in 2003. Heather has had experience as a nurse practitioner in Family Practice prior to starting at the Allergy and Asthma Clinic of West Texas in 2007. Heather has a passion for seeing patients of all ages with allergies and asthma.
Heather Morris has been in the academic arena since 2001. She currently teaches in the online program for the undergraduate program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Nursing 2nd degree program and RN-BSN program as a Recurrent Faculty. Heather enjoys teaching students on their journey to become nurses.
Georgeanna Welch is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master in Science in Nursing and her Post Master from Texas Tech University in Texas. Georgeanna has worked with the Allergy and Asthma Clinic of West Texas for nine years.
Furthermore, she currently serves on the Board of the Family Guidance and Outreach Center of Lubbock, and the scholarship committee for the South Plains Nurse Practitioner Association.
Additional activities include serving as a board member of the program On Mission With Christ, while traveling globally to do mission work in under-served areas.
