In Loving Memory of Founder Odie Fox
June 6, 1915 - June 19, 2008
Odie, beloved patriarch of the Fox Feed Family passed away at age 93.
Odie was born in Oklahoma and came out west in the midst of the depression
to work in the hay fields of the Imperial Valley. Odie and his son Jerry worked
together in the 1960's and 1970's hauling hay to dairies in California. They
opened Fox Feed in 1976. Until last year, Odie came into the store every day
during the morning hours, doing business with farmers on the phone
and talking with customers. Known for his sense of humor and stories, it was
always difficult to stop chatting with Odie and leave the store to
get back to the chores of the day.
A man loved by his family, business associates, customers and greatly
missed by all who knew him.
