The Academy of Coastal Carolina

The Academy of Coastal Carolina specializes in

-Early Childhood Education - The Academy of Coastal Carolina offers a half-day Early Education program for four and five year old children that combines excitement and discovery with a strong Biblically integrated plan. The curriculum includes pre-writing and pre-reading activities as well as math skills. In this readiness setting, students are engaged in hands-on activities related to a variety of themes throughout the year.

- Elementary Education (K-2)-Education for students in grades K-2 sets the foundation for lifelong learning. In classical education, these first years of
schooling are called the grammar stage. Just as grammar is the foundation for language, the building blocks of learning are reading, phonics, spelling and grammar rules, writing, mathematics and vocabulary. The Academy of Coastal Carolina utilizes these foundation classes with the goal of having each child ready for middle school and beyond.

- Intermediate Education (3-9)- Core teachers will customize and design a challenging and exciting curriculum that will meet the unique and diverse learning styles in grades 3-9. Our goal is to spark student’s interests and strengths in all academic and extra-curricular activities. With small classes as well as individualized and differentiated instruction, students will be able to work at a pace that best fits their personal needs

Each student in grades Pre-K through Ninth Grade participates in the following resource programs at least one day per week. The resource class schedule for 2012-2013 is as follows:
