The Pope County Humane Society is asking for your support with a membership or donation to our organization. All donations are tax deductible.
Our society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed in 1985 and is a member of the state federation. The purpose of the society is to prevent the cruelty to animals, provide for the welfare of animals and to promote public education in the care of animals.
The society has four part-time employees and volunteers who donate their time and personal expense to the organization. Our animal shelter cares for lost, abandoned and stray animals. As in the past, our expenses exceed our income and we are asking for your help.
