I started Paradise Pools in 1996, working from my home for the first five years. The freedom of being my own boss had its perks but it also proved to be quite difficult during the early years. I prided myself on being punctual for appointments, returning calls in a timely manner, and getting the job done to the expectations of the customer. Because of the nature of the business, seasonal, I worked for several different construction businesses during the winter months to pay the bills. In 2001, after getting laid off from carpenters job, I Opened Paradise Pools retail store at its current location. Through word of mouth and customer referrals my business began to grow. I could now have my suppliers make deliveries to me instead of making the daily trip to them for supplies. I could now have an inventory for my field work as well as merchandise for customers in my area to purchase. Paradise Pools retails a full line of pool and spa chemicals, Hayward pumps and filters, valves, face plates and gaskets, O-rings and seal assemblies, plumbing and repair products, solar and winter covers, and much more. I do pool openings and closings, filtration installations and plumbing repairs, above ground pools and what I like to call my specialty, inground liner replacements, or rebuilds.
