Family and Community Health (FCH) programs offer research based and practical information for families and individuals on financial management, strengthening family relationships, life skills, housing/home environment, nutrition, health and wellness.
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Prairie View A&M University- Cooperative Extension Program are sister organizations that serving Texas citizens through the application of research-based education. Operating under the mandate of the Morrill Act of 1862; the Texas A&M AgriLife Service’s vision is to help Texans better their lives. The second Morrill Act of 1890 provided the opportunity for 1890 land-grant institutions to strengthen research, extension, and teaching to under-served audiences. The Prairie A&M University- Cooperative Extension Service has a mission to respond to the needs of under-served Texans through life-changing opportunities that empower families, promote agriculture, strengthen communities, and foster leadership development in youth.
