The purpose of the City of Frankfort Facebook page is to share information about what is happening in city government and throughout Frankfort.
Comments are allowed on this page, including comments that oppose the City’s views and priorities. However, specific guidelines are in place to promote a more productive dialogue and the appropriate use of this page.
Comments containing any of the following inappropriate forms of content shall not be permitted on City social media sites and are subject to removal and/or restriction by the City
• Are unrelated to the subject matter of the original post, including random or unintelligible comments;
• Comments that are profane, obscene, vulgar, lewd. Sexual or pornographic content and/or language
• Contain personal attacks of any kind including threats to any person or organization; threats will be reported to the proper authorities
• Contain offensive comments that target or disparage any ethnic, racial, or religious group;
• Content that promotes, fosters, encourages or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, sexual orientation or religion
• Suggestion or encouragement of illegal activity or breach of peace
• Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or any public system or infrastructure. ( if posted comments include personal information or refer to open police investigations, etc.)
• Comments which the main purpose is to sell a product
• Comments that infringe on copyrights, or
• Are spam or include links to other sites
