The Volunteer League strives to help underprivileged children in the San Fernando Valley. We want to make a difference…and we do. Seeing the smiles on their faces, as they leave the Centre Clothes Corner, reinforces our feeling that we are doing something very worthwhile. Embarrassment is replaced by confidence and pride.
Feeling good about one’s self is a crucial step in achieving success in school. The Volunteer League helps children build self-esteem. Our on-going programs allow us to make a difference in a child’s life. You can make a difference too.
The Volunteer League does not receive any government or United Way support. Therefore, it is vital that we continually seek new and renewed assistance from private businesses, corporations and individuals. Our Volunteers continue to give back to the community through annual fundraising events. The monies we raise through your support go directly into clothing the children.
By donating your tax-deductible contribution, you will help the Volunteer League keep this fifty-nine year old endeavor going. Giving needy children in our very own community the feeling that they matter, that people care about their well being, and that they are important, will produce a very positive effect.
