Adoptions Together has provided proven and effective services aimed at family preservation and stability to over 15,000 individuals in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. More than 3,000 children have been settled in permanent families through adoption, 8,000 expectant parents facing an unplanned pregnancy have received counseling free of charge and thousands of adoptive, foster, kinship, guardianship, and biological families have received critical post-placement education and support--including counseling services, parenting workshops, child and parent support groups, respite care, and therapeutic summer camps. To expand the range of quality support options for families and their children, we have trained over 3,500 therapists and child welfare professionals through workshops and presentations at local and national conferences, clinical trainings and outreach efforts.
