From the very beginning, during the design stage the concept of this Oakland County golf course was unique.
A strong market existed in Southeast Michigan for a golf course that gave the Public a better experience. Pine Trace Golf Club filled a gap that existed between the public courses and private clubs of the time. In setting a new standard in design, maintenance, food quality and customer service Pine Trace prominently changed the golfer's view of public golf. In many ways it changed the way private golfers viewed club membership.
