CHOICE Humanitarian (Center for Humanitarian Outreach and Inter-Cultural Exchange) has been working to eliminate extreme poverty since 1983 under the direction of James B. Mayfield, , an expert in the field of international rural development. We begin with the exit in mind. Our goal is to train community leaders to take ownership of their own development. We work with communities until they are self-sufficient and sustainable, then we exit and they thrive.
We are a 501-C3 with headquarters in West Jordan, UT. We work in Mexico, Gutemala, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Kenya, and Nepal with support also going to Vietnam.
