Camp Lakodia is a beautiful campground on the southwest side of Lake Herman, in Madison, SD.
We have room for up to 150 people with 7 cabins, a lodge, two bunkhouses, a dining hall with commercial kitchen, and other buildings that serve our guests well. We also have 10 spots for RVs and tent sites available. Whether you're looking for a beautiful place for a wedding, a family reunion, a church retreat, or a simple getaway, we'd love to talk to you about the possibilities.
Our camp is a local treasure, and started off in the 1940's as a 4-H camp. It was later owned by CSD, who updated and added new buildings. In 2014, Camp Lakodia was purchased by Fostering Hope, a nonprofit organization led by a group of people who are passionate about Camp Lakodia and it's role in providing a beautiful setting for kids and adults alike.
