The Watson Institute is an educational organization specializing in educating children with special needs and in training the professionals and pre-professionals who serve those children. Its special education school programs are part of Pennsylvania’s Approved Private Schools.
The Watson Institute operates a preschool program that brings together children with autism and their typically-developing peers in a positive learning environment. Watson offers inclusive summer camp programs, and provides child assessment and therapy for children and adolescents with autism.
The Watson Institute also provides educational programming with a partial hospital component to children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbances. Watson gives well-deserved breaks to families through the respite programs; CareBreak and Day and Weekend Respite.
