Our Facebook page is designed and developed as a tool to help the citizens of our community learn more about our department and the services that we provide to the community. The Pelham-Batesville Fire Department is committed to providing a superior level of Emergency Service that continually improves the quality of life, health and safety to the community. We are dedicated to Service as highly trained professionals in all aspects of suppression, rescue, emergency medical services, fire prevention, emergency preparedness and the control of hazardous situations.
Pelham-Batesville Fire Department sits in upstate South Carolina along the Greenville and Spartanburg County line covering 25 square miles. The district covers everything from rural countryside, suburban neighborhoods, Interstate 85, and businesses along Woodruff Road.
To better help serve our community, 4 stations are strategically placed to respond a crew quickly and safely if called upon. We provide fire suppression and protection services as well as first response. The majority of the staff is trained to the EMT level meaning they will be the ones coming to you if a medical emergency occurs. We do not just stop here, we also respond to many other calls such as trench rescues, swift water rescues, hazardous materials, confined space rescues, and yes, even the occasional cat stuck in a tree or well.
