Enjoy the golden age of live melodrama theater at the Sawdust Theatre in Coquille, Oregon. Cheer on our brave heroes, ohh and ahh over our lovely heroines, and boo and hiss at the most dastardly Villains ever to take the stage. In between acts you’ll be mesmerized by our tantalizing Olio ladies and genteel Olio men. Lavish costumes, magnificent art, and live music bring our show to life.
Don’t forget the beer, wine, and all the delicious popcorn you can eat!
It's all in good fun and happens every summer at the Sawdust Theatre.

The Proudwells are a well-meaning farming family, struggling to make ends meet, partly because of patriarch Chance Proudwell’s penchant for an occasional game of poker. Enter Trustee Workhard, who makes a sizeable cash offer to the Poudwells in return for the right to clear the timber off their land. All seems to be going well for the Proudwells, who can finally pay off their mortgage. And it's love at first sight for Trustee and Proudwell’s oldest daughter, Prudence. But, what kind of Melodrama would it be if the hero saved the day when no one was in dire straits. Mix in great song & dance routines to celebrate 50 seasons of the Sawdust Theatre! What MORE do we need to make this another great year here at the Sawdust Theatre?!? YOU!!
