In 1994 a small group explored the idea of creating a farm specifically for people with disabilities. A non-profit corporation was formed and in 1997 the Tony and Pauline Rodes property was purchased. The AFC home opened in 2000 followed by Independent Living apartments in 2002. RHF is governed by a seven member board of directors and has a four person staff.
