Since establishing the Sheelin Wilson Gilding Studio in 1988, Sheelin has been committed to the age-old craft of using gold and silver leaf in the restoration, conservation and reproduction of objects d'art, antique and fine furniture, frames, rods, finials, rings as well as interiors.

Her clients include private individuals, interior designers, antiques dealers, architects, luxury retailers, artists, museums and auction houses.

Sheelin Wilson will always treat the objects she works on with
the utmost respect while making every effort to preserve
original finishes and materials.

She continues to educate herself at conferences of the Society of Gilders, where she shares her wealth of knowledge.

Sheelin's more than 25 years experience in the field of gilded and painted finishes includes studying in London at `The New Academy For Arts Studies', an apprenticeship in Ireland with Emily Naper at Loughcrew Studio, as well as working with such master gilders as Thomas Hom at Sotheby's Restoration.
