Please join Balance Rehab and a variety of speakers for the 4th Annual Facial Paralysis Awareness Walk! Sunday, October 15th...so click on the link below and register today
Join us at the beautiful Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach on Sunday, October 15th, for our 4th Annual Facial Paralysis Awareness Walk! Bring your family members and friends, along with your walking shoes, bikes, and even pets, for an afternoon of fun! We will begin at 1:00 p.m. with registration/welcome, and then depart at 1:30 p.m. for our walk. There will be two route options this year – a one-mile fun walk around the lighthouse, along with a two-mile walk/jog/bike around scenic Shoreline Village. We will then regroup at the park for ice cream from Long Beach Creamery, along with face painting, entertainment, speakers and fun giveaways! We will also have a silent auction with items including: Four tickets to Disneyland! Restaurant gift cards Passes to local attractions And more! Special Guests: We have a variety of speakers who will share about facial paralysis issues, including Dr. Babak Azizzadeh, facial plastic surgeon; Jackie Diels, facial retraining expert; Dr. Faye Wachs, researcher on social impact of facial paralysis; along with comedian Brian Apprille, Mary Jo Buttafuoco, and more to be announced! Registration: There is a suggested donation of $25 per person or $45 per couple/family for the awareness walk (t-shirt and ice cream included). We will pre-order t-shirts in your requested size, if you indicate this on the registration form.
