"We have something for you." they said. "You do?" my wife replied. "Yes, do you have dollar?the husband said. "I think so," said my wife, and looked for one in her wallet. As she handed over the dollar, the man handed my wife some car keys. "Here, we know you folks have been needing transportation and have a large family. We have this van we don't use and its in really good shape. We would like you to have it." The dollar of course was for it to be a sale instead of something that would cost us to receive the gift. We rejoiced many years and when we moved to Williams , we still had that green 12 passenger van. Several things happened in that transition. First, our needs were met. God saw our need and moved on the hearts of others. Secondly, the givers heard specifically from God about what to do. Thirdly, they obeyed and we were blessed. Fourth, the givers were blessed. Fifth, everyone that we knew and our family was overwhelmed the the goodness of God and the love He gave these folks. Deliberate and obedient giving blesses not only the heart of God, not only the heart of the receiver, but the heart of the giver as well. Whether it is giving something like the good news of the Gospel, or giving something tangible it is the same. Luke 6:38 "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you." Deliberately decide what you will give, and then watch God multiply that. Pastor Ken

Recently, our church has been focusing on serving others. Showing people the love of God through tangible means. Loving without expecting anything in return. In our Band of Brothers prayer meeting on Tuesday mornings, we have been seeing how God is putting people in our lives to love. And he is opening our eyes like never before to the needs around us. In Mark Chapter 8, verses 23-25 it says this: "So He took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then He spit on the man’s eyes and placed His hands on him. “Can you see anything?” He asked. The man looked up and said, “I can see the people, but they look like trees walking around.” Once again Jesus placed His hands on the man’s eyes, and when he opened them his sight was restored, and he could see everything clearly.…" Sometimes we are Christians, and we do pretty well, but we don't have a clear view of people as God sees them. We have a blurred vision, and are not completely able to love them as Jesus did. Jesus placed his hands once again on the man and he was completely healed. Oh that we would get another touch from Jesus, so that we see men and women clearly. So that we see them as God sees them. Divine appointments. That's what I call them. We come into contact with people every day who need loved. And when we see them as Jesus sees them, we are able to find that need and fill it with God's love. Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. I want to see You... Pastor Ken

This past Sunday our ladies took control of the morning worship service as it was National Womens Ministries Day. Ana Alvarez had the ladies prepared well for the day and we heard how women are being used by God to reach others. Good job, ladies.

What a great time we had at the Band of Brothers Breakfast on Saturday morning. Hal Tacker shared what God has done in his life and the many accomplishments he has been able to do. We are looking forward to the next BBB in March.

Every one of us are living novels. We are stories of life, love, pain, defeat, progress and hope. Contained in our histories are great stories of the human spirit given to us by our Creator. Impossible odds defeated. Hopeless situations corrected and relationships restored. Recently, I went to a friend's home to visit. He has literally a museum of his life on the walls of the inside of his house. If you point to something it generates a story, full of details , humor, and interest. Every room has a different theme. And one remembrance leads to another. It reminds me of the scripture that says "For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life." (Ephesians 2:10) We are Gods literary masterpiece, HIs work of art, his perfect creation. And that story we have is for a purpose. It is so that we can do good works. Like every stroke of the brush, as it touches the canvas, every anecdote and small event in our testimony leads us to where we are, the finished painting. Now God wants us to use that painting, And you know what? They will not see us, they will see Christ. Lets get this week going. Pastor Ken
