Congratulations Mike Forget, Recipient of the W. F. Armstrong Award! https://t.co/eeQlWGH8fv

On Friday night we had the opportunity to celebrate paramedic Michael Forget, as he was presented with the 2016 W. F. Armstrong Award by Gale Armstrong Brady. Mike was set to receive the award at our 70th Anniversary Party this past August, but was not able to attend due to an unfortunate accident. After months of healing and lots of support from his fellow Armstrong crew members, Mike has returned to duty. We are so happy and grateful to have him back on the road! As the award states, "Mike exemplifies and emulates Bill Armstrong in many ways. Mike is someone who is dedicated in service, compassionate, determined and loyal to Armstrong Ambulance Service. He is always a team player and willing to consistently go the extra mile for his patients, clients or colleagues. No matter what the circumstances, Mike will dig in and be part of the solution to a problem. He is respected by his peers and partners in the community and he plays a vital role in Armstrong Ambulance Service". Congratulations Mike!

The 2017 Boston Marathon is only 2 months away! We're proud to announce that our very own Communications Manager, Jeff Scott, will be running this year on behalf of the Semper Fi Fund. The Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support for wounded, critically ill and injured members of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families. They direct urgently needed resources to post 9/11 service members, from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Reserves. Help support Jeff's mission below and know that every little bit helps!
As you all know it has been a dream of mine to run the Boston Marathon. I am raising money for the Semper Fi Fund to give back to the men and women of the armed forces who have sacrificed for us. Please join me in helping these men and women by donating to the Semper Fi Fund. This is how we can all&...

An Act of Kindness for Valentine's Day Beyond the candy hearts and bouquets of flowers, this week is about more than just Valentine’s Day. February 13th-17th also marks Random Acts of Kindness Week. It’s no coincidence that these two holidays coincide. Doing something kind for someone else is the best way to spread some love this year. Here are some tips for making Valentine’s Day extra special through a small act of kindness: A Cup of Joe ☕ Most of us are addicted to our morning coffee run. But next time you order your caffeine fix, consider buying one for someone else. In fact, last year one woman started a “pay-it-forward” chain at a local coffee shop and over 750 lattes were purchased for someone else. Just imagine the difference you can make in someone’s day. A Note of Thanks 📝 Between emails, texts and tweets, we’re not so great at putting pen to paper to let people know how we feel. Try writing someone a note saying how much you appreciate them this week. It may seem old-fashioned, but you never know how much it will mean to them. A Thoughtful Donation 💵 While charities receive donations left and right during the holiday season, this time of year can be especially challenging. Consider ways to donate to your favorite charity with a financial donation. It’s not about how much you’re giving, but the heart behind it. A Letter of Recommendation ⭐ Think of ways you can serve your network. Write up a recommendation for a friend or colleague on LinkedIn. Post a rave review for a business you love (hint, hint). Plus, you never know how this selfless act could later benefit your career! Valentine’s Day doesn’t just have to be about you and your significant other. Spread a little love to friends or maybe even strangers this year!

Happy Valentines Day https://t.co/lxJnjFIgAm

Thanks to the team for on-boarding our 13 New Hires this weekend. Welcome to all of them and great job completing The Certified Emergency Vehicle Operators (CEVO) course, in this fine New England weather. No better conditions to learn how to safely operate an ambulance.
