Operation Hope Neighborhood Ministries, Inc. began as a faith-based after school program and all-day summer camp to enhance the lives of our children, in a time when most parents are working two jobs to make ends meet.
Operation Hope Neighborhood Ministries has since provided a safe environment where latch-key children come and receive a snack and help with their homework, run a candy store, prepare for the next day, and just have time to be a child. Monday through Friday, Hope enables parents to feel a sense of security in knowing their children are safe and not alone, which allows them to take care of their family by going to work, to provide for them.
Recently, Hope has expanded in its ability to provide further support and resources to our families, through an increase in distribution of food and other donation-based items. This has been in direct response to the problem of economic struggle and hunger within family units in Jackson.
Our mission has always been to bless those within our undeserved community in any way we can, to provide tangible hope to seemingly hopeless situations, and to cause lives to be enhanced and strengthened, for bringing about positive change in Madison County, and beyond.
