ARBOUR-FULLER HOSPITAL EXPANDS TREATMENT CAPACITY - Announces new partnership with Milford Regional Medical Center Arbour-Fuller Hospital today announced the addition of 12 psychiatric inpatient beds and a new partnership with Milford Regional Medical Center to further support the mental health needs of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The new beds fill a critical resource for adults struggling with primary mental health issues and a secondary addictions disorder. The bed conversion comes at a time when the need to treat acute patients requiring inpatient level of care and who have co-occurring addictions issues is particularly significant. At times, these patients board in area Emergency Departments waiting for an available bed in a facility appropriate to meet their clinical needs. Earlier this year, Arbour-Fuller Hospital developed an exciting partnership with Milford Regional Medical Center (MRMC) to provide psychiatric evaluations and consultation to patients in their Emergency Department (ED) and on inpatient medical-surgical units. DR. TETYANA TARNAVSKY JOINS ARBOUR-FULLER HOSPITAL Dr. Tetyana Tarnavsky, MD, PhD, is the newest attending psychiatrist to join Arbour-Fuller Hospital’s Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Dr. Tarnavsky said, “I am looking forward to working with the caring staff at Arbour-Fuller Hospital and serving individuals across Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island who are struggling with behavioral health issues.” Dr. Tarnavsky has over fifteen years of psychiatric experience, with multiple peer-reviewed publications concerning behavioral disorder in young persons with computer addiction. Before joining Arbour-Fuller Hospital, Dr. Tarnavsky was a full-time outpatient psychiatrist at Brockton Neighborhood Health Center. Prior to that position, she was a psychiatry resident at the VA Boston Healthcare Systems at Harvard Medical School and a regular lecturer at Harvard Medical School 2014-2016.
