Wings Over Wisconsin begain it's mission of restoring and preserving natural resources in 1980. What started as twelve individuals with a vision to reverse the decline of upland bird habitat, Wings Over Wisconsin has grown into an organization with over 4,200 members and chapters all over the state of Wisconsin.
Through work with private landowners, state and federal agencies, and communities throught the state, we helped restore grasslands, woodlands and wetlands to better the habitats wildlife require to nest, feed and survive in Wisconsin.
Wings Over Wisconsin is a Wisconsin-based conservation organization and funds raised by our chapters stay in Wisconsin. Each chapter chooses what projects it want to fund and where.
