WHO WE ARE: Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad.
Bread for the World members write personal letters and emails and meet with our members of Congress. Working through our churches, campuses, and other organizations, we engage more people in advocacy.
Each year, Bread for the World invites churches across the country to take up a nationwide Offering of Letters to Congress on an issue that is important to hungry and poor people.
Bread for the World Institute provides nonpartisan policy analysis on hunger and strategies to end it. The Institute publishes a book-length Hunger Report every year. Each edition focuses on a particular topic and its relationship to the root causes of hunger and malnutrition. Recommendations for policy change based on the report’s analysis guide Bread for the World’s advocacy. NOTE: All donations made through Facebook fund Bread for the World Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and are therefore tax-deductible.
Confronting the problem of hunger can seem overwhelming. What can one person do? Plenty—and Bread for the World and Bread for the World Institute can help.
