The Florida TrophyCatch angler recognition program was created by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and kicked off October 1, 2012. It includes three tiers of awards with various prizes provided by corporate partners. Just registering makes participants eligible for a boat, motor and trailer. The Lunker Club is for lb largemouth bass that are caught, documented and released, verified recipients will receive a t-shirt, certificate, decal and $100 in gift cards. Trophy Club anglers are ones who successfully document catching a releasing a largemouth bass between and lbs. They receive $150 in gift cards, a long-sleeve t-shirt as well as a long sleeve shirt and certificate Anglers entered into the Hall-of-Fame must have a 13 pound or heavier bass verified. Their catch will be permanently memorialized in the Hall of Fame, and they will receive a free fiberglass replica ($500 value), $2000 in gift cards, a Glen Lau DVD and be eligible for a drawing to fish with Peter Miller of Bass2Billfish. The biggest bass of the year earns the angler that caught it a TrophyCatch ring. Just registering allows anglers to be in a drawing for a bass boat and every verified catch increases their chances.
