The Renzi Education and Art Center is a 501c3 non-profit that provides free, high-quality art and academic programming taught by professional teachers and artists to K-12 youth in the Shreveport-Bossier area. While Renzi accepts students from all backgrounds, we primarily recruit and enroll at-risk youth -- those from low-income families and underserved neighborhoods. The Renzi Center was founded in 1997 by the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows of Shreveport. They and local artist Donna Service created the After School Program, so at-risk children would have a safe, nurturing, educational, and creative place to go to after school. The Renzi Center has served hundreds of children since 1997.
