Pathways to Housing DC knows that HOUSING ends homelessness. We follow the Housing First model by giving permanent housing to persons living on the street and shelters of DC without first requiring them to comply with psychiatric or addictions treatment. We support people in their homes by helping them connect to psychiatric treatment, medical care, addictions treatment, employment, family, friends and any other services our tenants request. We have ended homelessness for over 450 people since opening in 2004! We have an 89% housing retention rate.
