STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – The 14th Judicial District (Grand, Moffat and Routt counties) is offering a series of monthly legal clinics featuring one-on-one time with volunteer lawyers to discuss matters in civil cases.

Business hours at the clerk's office at the La Plata County Courthouse in Durango are now 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. The hours have been extended by a half hour each in the morning and afternoon to better accommodate the public's needs.

Numerous current and former justices of the Colorado Supreme Court and judges of the Colorado Court of Appeals gathered Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, in the atrium of the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Center. The justices met for their annual holiday luncheon, followed by a book signing featuring the Hon. Jean E. Dubofsky, the Hon. Mary J. Mullarkey and Susan Casey, author of "Appealing for Justice: One Colorado Lawyer, Four Decades and the Landmark Gay Rights Case: Romer v. Evans," which chronicles the litigation surrounding Colorado's Amendment 2 in the 1990s. The first photo depicts Chief Justice Nancy E. Rice, Susan Casey and Justice Dubofsky. In the second photo, Ms. Casey, Justice Dubofsky and Chief Justice Mullarkey speak to the audience. In the third, Justice Dubofsky signs copies of the book. In the fourth, Ms. Casey, Justice Dubofsky and Justice Mullarkey lead a discussion on civil rights.

Effective Jan. 1, 2017, the Mesa County Combined Court will mandate e-filing for attorneys on all County Court civil filings with the exception of requests for temporary protection orders.
