Gilbert's Professional Pest Control, Inc. was founded in April 1974 by its current President, Jeffrey C. Gilbert. Jeff started working in the structural pest control industry for an exterminating company based in York, PA, while still in high school.

In 1971, he received his degree in Pestological Sciences from Penn State University. Shortly after graduation, he relocated to Carlisle and quickly realized that residential pest control was non-existent in the area. With just a few residential customers and one service truck, Jeff had founded Gilbert's Professional Pest Control.

Today, Gilbert's has expanded its services to include all aspects of structural pest control and industrial vegetation management, and has become the area's foremost termite control operation.

The employees of Gilbert’s Professional Pest Control are fully trained and licensed by the PA Department of Agriculture to administer all types of pest control. This ensures that both the correct type and amount of chemicals are used.

Before any chemical application or treatment, Gilbert’s will assess the pest problem, taking into consideration many different factors, such as the presence of small children, pets and people with respiratory problems.
