Ken Tate is a three-time winner of the Southern Progress Corporation's Southern Home Award, and he was also the recipient of the Institute of Classical Architecture's Schutze Award in 2008.
After opening his own firm in 1984 in Mississippi, Tate has designed more than 60 houses, including: • A 12,000-square-foot Federal-style compound in the Kentucky horse country • An 11,000-square-foot Norman-influenced estate in Mississippi • A 13,000-square-foot French Colonial-inspired compound in New Orleans
Tate’s work has been published in many magazines including Architectural Digest, Veranda, Southern Accents, and The Classicist, as well as books including the artist’s monographs, The New Old House, and The Southern Cosmopolitan.
