Here are our rules of engagement for participation on the San Diego Unified School District Facebook page:

- We invite and encourage your participation on our Facebook page.
- We ask that you exercise civility and good will in your communication.
- Any comments that are intentionally rude or deride the opinions of others will be removed.

Once posted, San Diego Unified reserves the right to delete submissions that contain:

- Vulgar language or images
- Personal attacks of any kind
- Comments or content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, colour, age, religion, gender, marital status, genetics, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or intellectual disability or sexual orientation
- Spam or links to other sites that are not directly relevant to education
- Advocate illegal activity
- Promote particular services, products or political organizations
- Personally identifiable medial information
- Information that may compromise the safety, security or proceedings of public systems or any criminal or civil investigations

Comments that are entirely off-topic or unrelated to the post may be removed. When possible, we will attempt to direct the poster to the appropriate resource.

Be aware that your comments are public and can and may be used by anyone else, including news media, law enforcement, and other government agencies.
