Firs big snow storm of the's what we are expecting in our area...
A cold front will roll through the U.P. tonight and help to bring heavy lake effect snow and hazardous travel conditions Thursday. Winter Storm Warnings & Winter Weather Advisories will go into effect tonight - the heaviest accumulations are expected in the northwest and in the east near Lake Superior shorelines, also extending inland where northwest wind snow belts are likely. Estimated accumulations are pictured below, but locally higher amounts are likely within heavy snow belts - some accumulations may push between 10-14 inches, and possibly up to two feet in isolated areas. Aside from the snow, look for chilly temperatures tomorrow with wind chills falling into the single digits for many and to near 0 degrees overnight into Friday morning. Stay tuned for coverage on this event during tomorrow's TV6 Morning News.
