The Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital is a private non-profit, 501(C) (3) organization. We do not receive any city or state funding. The SNC relies solely on the support of community donations, grants, fundraising events, programming fees, and admission fees.
We are open to the public Tuesday-Sunday (excluding Mondays). The admission fee is $5 for adults ages 18+, $3 for students ages 5-17, and free for ages 4 and under.
Our goal is to rehabilitate and release native wildlife that has been brought to our Center. Non-releasable animals have natural looking habitats as permanent homes at our facility. We also provide fun and exciting educational programming for schools, birthday parties, group events, individuals, or any occasion! The most popular program is "Meet Your Wildlife Friends" where guests get an up close and personal (and hands-on) experience with some of the wildlife at our Center!
