As the Owner/ Physical Therapist, Terri has over 20 years experience in private outpatient orthopedics. She emphasizes manual techniques, core stabilization and efficient exercise programs to achieve outstanding results. She believes in treating the individual as a whole and addressing the specific needs of each patient. Terri has training in Maitland, Mulligan, McConnell and Jackson Techniques. She has certificates from the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine (IAOM) in manual therapy and is a certified Cancer Exercise Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). Terri continues to up-date her skills annually. She has a wealth of hands-on experience with a variety of patients. Terri enjoys being active with her family and running. She has trained in the martial arts discipline of Krav Maga for the past five years.
Additional treating therapist, Laura Bozikovich, has a Doctorate in Physical Therapy with specialized training in manual therapy techniques for orthopedic dysfunction. She has experience with sports rehabilitation, postoperative care, and working with teen athletes. Laura enjoys hiking with her dog, Krav Maga and obstacle racing.
Atala Physical Therapy is conveniently located in Carlsbad, just minutes from Encinitas, San Marcos, and Vista. The closest cross-streets are Palomar Airport Road and Melrose Drive (with ample parking and easy access).
