Inspired by a “build it and they will come” attitude and the confidence that the event would attract 1,000’s, plans for the one day food frenzy got under way.
Celebrate Powhatan! The “Chow Down” Food Festival, our first free admission-free parking community-wide celebration. Come enjoy an array of culinary delights all located in one place; with food choices ranging from ethnic to exotic. Buy a taste or buy a meal!
EVERYONE is your kids, your friends, your lawn chairs and enjoy food, music & a fun! There will be car and bike show, kids activities, art exhibits and more
The festival is one of revitalization; to promote community pride, give exposure to local business and bring awareness to the battle against hunger taking place Powhatan.
Help us help others.
Attend the Chow Down and join our ”Hungry to Help” food bank drive. Bring non perishable items to the festival and be entered in a raffle for chance to win cash and/or prizes. This year’s goal is to raise 1,000 pounds of food. Together we can feed more.
