White Oak Physical Therapy (WOPT) is a locally owned and operated, multidisciplinary therapy office providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, and hand therapy. Our skill is most commonly sought out to help resolve orthopedic conditions anywhere in the body; however, our team is especially known to have unique and additional training for chronic headaches, conditions of the hand and upper extremity, vestibular rehabilitation for vertigo and dizziness, pelvic floor pain, incontenance and dysfunction, and working with victims of neurological conditions like strokes, contractures and nerve entrapments. Special techniques and services we may incorporate include the fabrication and issuance of custom hand, wrist, finger, elbow orthotics and supports and high quality knee, ankle, back and shoulder supports. We are also credentialed suppliers of canes, walkers, wheelchairs (non-motorized), wheelchair accessories and other durable medical equipment. WOPT is a participating provider group wiith nearly all insurance plans and works with attorneys for, work related, motor vehicular accidents and liability cases. WOPT is proud of the reputation we have achieved over the years. Our office is not fed by any physician group and we are certainly not part of any large therapy corporation we jokingly like to refer to as "7-11" therapy companies in strip malls who tend to primarily feature therapists fresh out of school. WOPT is a community practice of experienced and skilled professionals invested in our community. We are a teaching private practice hosting approximately 4 student interns annually from schools like The University of Maryland, Temple and Howard University. We also partner with local high schools like Montgomery Blair, Springbrook and Blake by offering our venue for high school interns.
