Park Region Telephone was founded in 1906 to offer telephone services to Dalton and the surrounding area. Since that time the company has grown significantly and now employs nearly 50 people and is governed by a board of directors. Otter Tail Telcom, LLC was formed in 1997 after the Telecommunications Act of 1996 allowed for competition in the local telephone service market. Park Region Telephone was the majority owner of Otter Tail Telcom (OTT) along with minority owner Rothsay Telephone Company. OTT is authorized to provide local telephone exchange service in Fergus Falls, Battle Lake and Telephone in Browns Valley joined our family of companies in 1998 and we became the cable TV provider for the Browns Valley area in 2007. In 2016, we welcomed the opportunity to purchase Rothsay Telephone Company. With this purchase, Park Region Telephone became the sole owner of Otter Tail Telcom.
Our companies are working hard to provide this region with all the communications technology available in large metro areas. Our services include a variety of telephone, computer, digital and wireless products and services.
